Introduction

AS Lajos is a 100% private capital based company that will celebrate its 20th birthday in 2012. In 1992 AS Lajos started its business in Kunda Lääne-Virumaa by offering national transport services. The business was started by two people and in the end of the year they had 15 employees. In the same year they started offering international transport services in the Baltic countries and in Central and Eastern Europe.

The truck and trailer service area was enlarged in the autumn of 1995, which enabled to offer services to different clients.

The spare parts shop was opened in 1997 in Kunda.

A new branch, SIA Lajos LV, was opened in 2008 in Latvia.

The new office and service building was completed in the summer on 2009 in Kunda.

In 2010 a new sub company was opened in Lithuania, UAB Lajos LT.

In 2010 the sales turnover of AS Lajos was about 6 million Euros and AS Lajos had 63 employees. The 32 trucks of AS Lajos’ fleet guarantees the client a fast and operative transport service.
